A study shows that Washington is using computer technology to promote its interests in the Middle East. For one, the U.S. was behind the Stuxnet, a computer worm used to collect information about the Iranian nuclear programme in 2010, as well as the development of Flame, a tool for cyber monitoring.
Symantec and Russia’s Kaspersky Lab linked Stuxnet to Flame saying that part of the Flame programme is nearly identical to code found in a 2009 version of Stuxnet.
